 Ingredients for Aloo matar

Potato ( cubes )             400 gm ( chopped and washed )

Frozen/ fresh green peas    100 gm

Chopped green chilly       2

Chopped onion                  2 ( medium )

Tomato puree                     100 gm

( You may use 2-3 finely chopped tomato )

Ginger garlic paste            1 tbsp

Cumin seeds                     1 tbsp

Cooking oil                    3 to 4 tbsp

Turmeric powder           1/2 tbsp

Red chilly powder         1 tbsp

Cumin powder                1/3 tbsp

Garam masala powder        1/2 tbsp

Salt to taste

How to make Aloo Matar

Turn on the flame, heat a pressure cooker pan. Add oil and let it heat properly add cumin seeds, fry it for few seconds add green chilly and onions fry it.Till it turns golden brown ( approx 2-3 minute). Add ginger garlic paste fry it for a minute on low flame add potato mix it. Cover the pan and cook it for 2 minutes on medium flame,Keep stirring in between stir it.

Add turmeric powder, red chilly powder, cumin powder and coriander powder mix it. Add green peas and mix it add tomato puree and mix it. Cover the pan and cook it for a minute on low flame. Open the lid and stir it. Add one glass of water, stir it. Add salt and garam masala powder mix it. Close the lid.

Cook it for 2 whistles on medium flame. After 2 whistles, turn off the flame and let the cooker cool down. Open it carefully. Add coriander leaves stir it. Sabzi is ready.

Take it out in a serving plate. You may garnish it with coriander leaves. Serve hot with roti, poori and paratha.
