Recipe for Aloo Paratha; How to make Aloo paratha

 Ingredients


Wheat flour (atta)                                2 cup (300gram)

Boiled Potato                                       5

Coriander leaves                                 2 tbsp

Oil                                                       3 tbsp

Grated ginger                                      1 tbsp

Green chilli                                         2 chopped

Garam masala powder                        1/2 tbsp

Red chilli powder                               1/4 tbsp

Salt                                                      1 tbsp

Coriander powder                                1 tbsp

How to make Aloo Paratha

We have taken 2 cup wheat flour in a big bowl ,add 1/2 tbsp salt and 1 tbsp oil to it mix well and then add water in small portions to kneed soft dough. Same as required for making chapattis and parathas. Cover and keep the dough aside for 20-25 minutes to rest use later to make the parathas. Meanwhile let us prepare the stuffing for parathas .


Aloo stuffing 


We have 5 boiled potatos peel the potatos and crumble them (mash it) . Now mix the spices to these crumbled potatos. Start by adding more then 1/2 tbsp salt or to taste followed by 1/4 tbsp red chilly powder 2 finally chopped green coriandser mix everything realy well. Potato stuffing is now done and ready.

20 minutes are over, dough is ready as well . Grease your hands with some oil and kneed the dough again. We used less then 1 cup of water for kneeding this muchquantity of dough .  Preheat a tawa for making the parathas. Pinch small portions from the dough you  can keep the size of parathas small or big or medium as decide. So we have taken dough equal to one lemon in size. Roll inti round shape then dust with some dry flour.

Roll out the dough ball into 3 to 4 inch diameter round . Top it up with stuffing equal to  the quantity of dough taken . Don;t over stuff the parathas. Though you  can adjust the quantity of stuffing as desired but avoid over stuffing the parathas can splatter. Lift the dough from all sides and close the stuffing realy well. Flatten the dough ball to  spread the stuffing evenly.

Dust the stuffed dough ball with some dry flour. Remove the extra flour and roll out little thick parathas, Dont;t roll out the stuffed paranthas too thinly. Make sure you roll out the parathas gently to get perfect ones. Spread some oil on the well heated tawa. Place the paratha over it end let it roast from beneth. Meanwhile let us roast the other parathas as well. Paratha has turn dark on the surface it roastes from beneath.

Flip the side now. Now let the parathas roast from other side as well apply some oil on the upper side of the paratha, evenly. Turn the side and apply some oil on this side as well. NMow bring the flame to medium. Press to roast the parathas until they get golden brown spots on both the sides. Take off the paratha and place it over a plate kept above the plate or serve it directly. Parathasd taste super tasty when served directly. Likewise prepare the rest of the parathas as well we usually don't keep the steaming hot parathas over the plate as they tend to get soft. Keep them above a plate parathas won't get soggy. Steaming hot and scrumptious aloo parathas with a side assortment of curd,chutney, butter or any curry.
