How to make Soya Chaap ; Soya chaap Recipe

Ingredients


Soya chap                      400gm

Onion                             4

Tomatoes                       2

Cashew                          12to14

Garlic cloves                 12to14

Ginger                           3 inch

Bay leave                      1

Cinnamon stick             1 inch

Black peppers               6

Black cardamon           1

Curd                             2 tbsp

Turmeric powder         1/2 tbsp

Red chilli powder        1 tbsp

Cumin powder            1/2 tbsp

Coriander powder      1 tbsp

Garam masala powder   1 tbsp

Salt to taste

Cooking oil                1/4 cup


Process

 Soya chaap 400 gm to remove the stick and cut in into medium size . Like this



Heat oil in a pan. Put the chaap in hot oil.  Deep fry it till it turns golden brown. Once it is fried, take it out. Put 4 chopped onions. Fry the onions till it turns brown. Take it out. Fry it untill get golden brown. Take it out the rest of fried onions 2 tbsp of oil in heat the pan and add ginger 3 inch, garlic cloves 10 to 12, cashews 10 to 12, tomatoes 2. Fry it on medium flame stir it. Off the gas. Add soya chaap in mixing bowl. Add 2 tbsp of curd, 1 tbsp of chilli powder 1/2 tbsp of garam masala, salt to taste mix well.


Add fried onion in mixer jar and ginger garlic cloves, cashews, tomato to grind it add little water to make smooth paste. Masala paste is ready add oil again let it heat add 1/2 tbsp of cumin powder. Add dried spices. (Bay leave, black caredmon, cinnamon stick and back papper). Add fried onions mix it well add blended paste and stir it. Add 1 tbsp od red chilli powder 1/2 tbsp of turmeric powder 1/2 tbsp of coriander powder, 1/2 tbsp of cumin powder. Mix it well


Add 1 pinch of red food colour) Optional. Mix it well. Cook for 3-4 minutes on low flame cover it open the lid and stir it. Add 1 cup of water stir it well. Turn off the flame. ( Let the masala cooled down) Add soya chaaps mix it well. Turn on the flame again. Add salt to taste mix it well cook it for 4-5 minutes add 1/4 cup of warm water( optional). Cook it for 1 minute on low flame add 1/2 tbsp of garam masala powder, dry fenugreek leaves ( kasuri methi) 1 tbsp of ghee. Turn off the flame cover the pan. Open the lid and stir it. Ready to serve.
